Ten devices on one licence

Norton 360 Advanced is the largest device count Norton sells on a consumer licence. Ten machines, any mix of Windows, Mac, Android and iOS, managed from one account.

Every device gets real-time scanning, the Smart Firewall, the password manager, cloud backup and Norton Secure VPN with no data cap.

Who actually needs ten

Two situations, in our experience.

A small business: four or five workstations, the owner’s laptop, two or three phones that handle orders and mobile money. One licence covers the lot and renews on one date, which is a good deal simpler than tracking eight separate subscriptions.

Or an extended household where everyone has a phone and there are two or three shared computers. Ten slots sounds excessive until you count.

If you land at five or fewer, Norton 360 Deluxe is the cheaper licence and does the same job.

What it is not

Advanced sits at the top of Norton’s consumer range partly because of its identity protection features: credit monitoring, identity restoration, social media monitoring. Nearly all of that is designed for the United States and will do nothing for you here.

Buy Advanced for the ten device slots. If the extra identity features are what attracted you, save your money and take Deluxe.

For a business, one caveat

This is a consumer licence, not a managed business product. There is no central console for an administrator to push policies or pull reports. For four or five machines in one office that is rarely a problem. If you need managed deployment, tell us what you are running and we will say honestly whether this fits or whether you need something else.

If some machines still run Windows 10

Paying without a credit card

Norton’s own store wants a Visa or Mastercard. Here the payment goes through the mobile wallet you already use, straight from your phone.

We accept MTN MoMo, Orange Money, Airtel Money, Moov Money, Wave, M-Pesa, Telecel Cash, AT Money, Free Money, Vodacom, Tigo and Halotel, depending on where you are. Fourteen countries are covered, and PayPal and card payments work everywhere else. Pick your country at checkout and you only see the wallets that work there, with the price in your local currency.
