What you receive
A retail licence key for Microsoft PowerPoint 2024, emailed once payment clears. Usually five minutes, two hours at the worst. You install PowerPoint from Microsoft’s own installer and activate it with the key.
One computer, one payment, nothing to renew. This is the perpetual licence, not a Microsoft 365 subscription, so it keeps working whether or not you pay us again.
How long it keeps receiving updates
Microsoft supports Office 2024 until 9 October 2029. Until then you get security updates. After that PowerPoint keeps running, it simply stops being patched.
What a perpetual licence does not give you
PowerPoint 2024 is frozen at the feature set it shipped with. Microsoft 365 subscribers receive new features during the year; you will not. Everything that was in the box stays in the box, and nothing new arrives.
For building decks that is rarely a problem. Slide masters, transitions, animations, the recording tools and export to video are all there. But if you want each new feature as Microsoft ships it, a subscription suits you better than this does.
PowerPoint alone, or the whole suite?
| What you get | This licence | Office LTSC 2024 Standard |
|---|---|---|
| PowerPoint | Yes | Yes |
| Word | No | Yes |
| Excel | No | Yes |
| Other Office applications | No | Yes |
| One-time purchase | Yes | Yes |
| Computers covered | One | One |
| Updates until | 9 October 2029 | 9 October 2029 |
If PowerPoint is all you need, this page is the cheapest way to get it. If you also want Word and Excel, buying the three separately costs more than our Office LTSC 2024 Standard, which includes all three and more.
Before you install
PowerPoint 2024 runs on Windows 10 and Windows 11. Microsoft asks for a 1.6 GHz dual-core processor, 4 GB of memory, and DirectX 9 or later for hardware acceleration. Their full list is on the official requirements page.
If your decks carry a lot of video, the graphics requirement is the one that matters. A machine that struggles with video playback will struggle in presenter mode too.
Activating it
- Sign in to a Microsoft account, or create one. It is free.
- Enter the key we sent you to attach the licence to that account.
- Download PowerPoint from the account page and install it.
- Open PowerPoint once while connected, and activation completes on its own.
Message us on WhatsApp if a step gives you trouble. Activation is where most questions come from.
Paying without a credit card
Microsoft’s own store wants a Visa or Mastercard, and plenty of people across Africa do not have one. Here the payment goes through the mobile wallet you already use, straight from your phone.
We accept MTN MoMo, Orange Money, Airtel Money, Moov Money, Wave, M-Pesa, Telecel Cash, AT Money, Free Money, Vodacom, Tigo and Halotel, depending on where you are. Fourteen countries are covered, and PayPal and card payments work everywhere else. Pick your country at checkout and you only see the wallets that work there, with the price in your local currency.
Common questions
Is this a subscription?
No. One payment, and the licence does not expire. Microsoft 365 is the subscription product; this is not it.
Will I get new features over time?
No. A perpetual licence keeps the features it shipped with and receives security updates only.
Can I open files made in Microsoft 365?
Yes. The file format is the same. A slide built with a feature your version lacks may render differently, which is worth knowing if you swap decks with 365 users often.
How many computers can I install it on?
One. A second machine needs a second licence.
Should I buy PowerPoint alone or the suite?
PowerPoint alone if that is all you use. If you also need Word and Excel, the Office LTSC 2024 Standard suite costs less than the three separate licences.
Does it work on a Mac?
This key is for Windows. Ask us on WhatsApp before ordering if you are on a Mac.
How do I pay without a bank card?
Pick your country and mobile wallet at checkout, then approve the payment on your phone.
