Grand Theft Auto VI comes out on 19 November 2026. You pay now, and nobody plays before that date, whatever another shop tells you.

What you do get early is the download. Pre-order editions unlock pre-loading seven days ahead of release, so the game can start downloading on 12 November and be ready on your console when the servers open.

Why the pre-load matters more here than elsewhere

GTA VI is a very large download: about 210 GB on the PS5, according to PlayStation Game Size, which reads the figure from the PlayStation Store. Rockstar has not published its own number yet, and a launch patch may add to it. On a connection that manages a few megabits, that is not an evening, it is several days. Someone who buys on release day in Yaoundé or Abidjan may well spend the weekend watching a progress bar while the rest of the world is already in Vice City.

Clear at least 210 GB on the console before the pre-load opens, because the download stops once the drive fills up.

Seven days of head start turns that problem into a non-event. It is the main reason to pre-order rather than wait.

One honest note on the GTA+ month: Rockstar sets it to renew automatically. Turn that off in the account settings during the first month unless you want to keep paying for it. We will remind you when we send the credentials.

Standard or Ultimate

Both editions carry the same game, the same Vintage Vice City Pack, the same GTA+ month and the same seven-day pre-load. The Ultimate Edition adds the Ultimate upgrade content for twenty dollars more.

If you mainly want to play the story, this edition is the one. The extras do not change the game you get.

How the account works

You receive login details for a PlayStation Network account holding this edition. No region lock, so it works on a PS5 bought anywhere.

On first login you change the password and the sign-in email, which puts the account under your sole control. You can then enable console sharing so the game runs on your own PSN profile, keeping your trophies, saves and friends list where they are. Message us on WhatsApp and we walk you through both steps.

Paying without a credit card
