What you receive
Login details for a PlayStation Network account holding Battlefield 6 Standard Edition, emailed once payment clears. Usually five minutes, two hours at the worst.
No region lock. The account works on a PS5 bought in any country. Clear 90 GB on the console before you start, because the install stops once the drive fills up.
What PlayStation Plus you need, and when
The single-player campaign starts without a subscription. We have checked this on our own accounts. It is solo only with no co-op, and it needs an internet connection even though you play alone, but PlayStation Plus is not part of it.
Online multiplayer is a different matter and does need PlayStation Plus, sold separately from the game. Battlefield is a multiplayer game first, so if the online side is why you are buying, budget for the subscription too.
The connection also has to be steady rather than merely present. Large servers punish packet loss in a way a single-player game never does, and a match you keep dropping out of is worse than no match.
If you do not have PlayStation Plus, our PlayStation Plus Essential listing is the cheapest route to online play.
How the account works
Change the password and the sign-in email the first time you log in. That is what puts the account under your sole control, and it takes two minutes.
Then enable console sharing and offline play, and the game runs on your own PSN profile. Your trophies, your saves, your friends list, your stats. Message us on WhatsApp and we walk you through both steps if you have not done it before.
Standard or Phantom
| What you get | Standard | Phantom |
|---|---|---|
| The full game, all maps and modes | Yes | Yes |
| Download size | 90 GB | 90 GB |
| Campaign without PlayStation Plus | Yes | Yes |
| PlayStation Plus for online play | Needed | Needed |
| BF Pro Token: battle pass, unlocks, tier skips | No | Yes |
| Phantom Squad soldier skins | No | Four |
| Chimera vehicle skin | No | Yes |
| Drop Shadow and Shrouded weapon packages | No | Yes |
| Tombstone Pack | Pre-order only, closed | Pre-order only, closed |
| Extra maps, modes or weapons | None | None |
Our honest view, and it is narrower than we used to put it. The skins change nothing about how you play, and Battlefield rewards time spent learning maps rather than money spent on appearances. But the BF Pro Token is not a skin: it covers a battle pass and skips tiers, so if you were going to pay for a battle pass anyway, the Phantom Edition can work out cheaper than buying both separately.
So the question is whether you buy battle passes. If yes, price the two against each other. If no, this page gives you the same game and the same maps.
Paying without a credit card
The PlayStation Store wants a card registered in the account’s country. Here the payment goes through the mobile wallet you already use, straight from your phone.
We accept MTN MoMo, Orange Money, Airtel Money, Moov Money, Wave, M-Pesa, Telecel Cash, AT Money, Free Money, Vodacom, Tigo and Halotel, depending on where you are. Fourteen countries are covered, and PayPal and card payments work everywhere else. Pick your country at checkout and you only see the wallets that work there, with the price in your local currency.
