Read this first
Microsoft stopped issuing security updates for Project 2019 on 14 October 2025. The application keeps working and your .mpp files remain usable. What stopped is the patching, permanently, with no extension and no paid extended security updates.
We keep it for older machines and for teams already standardised on this version. On anything reasonably recent, Project 2024 Professional is supported until October 2029.
What you receive
A genuine Project 2019 Professional key for one PC, emailed within five minutes and at most two hours. Gantt charts, task dependencies, critical path, resource management and baselines, activated permanently with a single payment.
Professional or Standard
This is the Professional edition. Against Standard it adds the Team Planner view, resource pooling across several projects, and the ability to connect to Project Server. If you schedule one project at a time on your own, Standard would have been enough and Professional is more than you need.
Installation
- Uninstall any earlier Project version.
- Download from the link that comes with your key.
- Open Project, go to Account, enter the product key.
Runs on Windows 10 and Windows 11. Project has never had a Mac version, from Microsoft or anyone else. WhatsApp us if the installer refuses to cooperate.

Common questions
Will Project 2019 stop working now that support has ended?
No. It opens and your schedules stay yours. What stopped on 14 October 2025 is the flow of security patches from Microsoft.
Should I buy 2019, 2021 or 2024?
2024 for a project starting now, since it is patched until October 2029. 2021 if your team is already on that version. 2019 only if you need to match machines you already run, or the hardware will not carry a newer release.
What does Professional add over Standard?
Team Planner, resource pooling across projects, and Project Server connectivity. On a single project managed alone, none of that changes your day.
Does it work on a Mac?
No. Microsoft has never released Project for macOS. On a Mac you would need Windows in a virtual machine, or a different scheduling tool.
Can I open .mpp files from a newer Project?
Yes. The .mpp format has been stable since Project 2007, so files move freely between 2013, 2016, 2019, 2021 and 2024. Only files from Project 2003 and earlier need converting.
Is Project Online or Project for the Web included?
No. Those are separate subscriptions from Microsoft. This is the desktop application on its own.
Is it a subscription?
No. One payment, one PC, and the licence does not expire.
Can I move the licence to another PC later?
No. The key binds to your machine’s motherboard. Reinstalling Windows on the same PC is fine and the key reactivates, but a different computer needs a different licence, and replacing the motherboard counts as a different computer.
How do I pay without a bank card?
