What PlayStation Plus you need, and when
The story campaign needs no subscription. Buy the account, install, play, and once it has downloaded it runs entirely offline, which matters if your connection comes and goes.
There is one exception and we would rather tell you now than let you discover it. Legends, the co-op mode added free in patch 1.5 on 12 August 2026, is played online, and online play on PlayStation needs a subscription. It is free content, so there is nothing extra to buy from us, but Sony will ask for PlayStation Plus when you open it. If you want that mode, we sell PS Plus Essential separately.

What you receive
Login details for a PlayStation Network account holding Ghost of Yotei Standard Edition, emailed once payment clears. Usually five minutes, two hours at the worst. No region lock, so it works on a PS5 bought anywhere.
Clear 60 GB on the console before you start. The install stops once the drive fills up.
How the account works
Change the password and the sign-in email the first time you log in. That is what puts the account under your sole control, and it takes two minutes.
Then enable console sharing and offline play, and the game runs on your own PSN profile with your trophies and saves intact.

The Deluxe adds appearance items and brings one unlock forward. The story, the map and the ending are identical.

Read that last line before you decide. The Traveler’s Maps are not exclusive to the Deluxe, they open up for every player later in the game. So what the Deluxe sells is appearance items and a head start, not content you would otherwise never see. For a first playthrough this page is the sensible choice, and the Digital Deluxe Edition is there if you care how your character looks across a long game.
Paying without a credit card
The PlayStation Store wants a card registered in the account’s country. Here the payment goes through the mobile wallet you already use, straight from your phone.

Can I play offline?
Yes, the campaign runs offline once the game has downloaded and the console is set for offline play. Legends does not, since it is online co-op.
