Why this card exists

Microsoft runs no Xbox store for most African countries, so players here register their Microsoft account elsewhere. Germany comes up for its euro pricing and for sales that are sometimes sharper than the French store on the same titles.

The store wants a European card. This gift card removes that obstacle: buy the code with mobile money and redeem it on your German account.

Read this before ordering

Xbox gift cards are tied to one region. A German code redeems on a German Microsoft account and nowhere else.

To check, sign in at Microsoft’s account page and look at Country or Region. If it says Germany, this is your card. Otherwise take the French card or the US card.

One thing to know about the German store

Germany classifies games through its own rating body, and a small number of titles appear there in a modified version or arrive later than elsewhere. It mostly affects older shooters and horror games.

If one specific title is the reason you are buying, check its German store page before committing a large balance to a German account. For everything else the store behaves like any other European store.

What you can buy with it

Games and add-ons from the Xbox store, and Game Pass subscriptions. The balance belongs to your Microsoft account rather than a console, so purchases on a PC signed in to the same account are covered too.

How to redeem it

1. On the console, press the Xbox button, open the Store, and choose Redeem.
2. Enter the twenty-five-character code from your email.

Paying without a credit card
