Read this first
Microsoft stopped issuing security updates for Office 2019 on 14 October 2025. The applications keep opening and your documents stay yours, but any flaw found in Word or Excel from that date on stays unpatched permanently. There is no extension and no paid extended security updates.
That matters more for Office than for most software, because Word and Excel documents are the most common way malware reaches a machine. If you can, take Office LTSC 2024 Professional Plus, patched until 9 October 2029.

Publisher is the one case. Microsoft removed it from Office 2024, so 2019 and 2021 are the last suites that open .pub files natively. If that is your situation, Office 2021 Professional Plus carries Publisher too and is the newer of the two, so take that one rather than this.
Outside a specific need for 2019 itself, such as matching a version already deployed across an office, there is no advantage left. We keep the listing because some people need exactly this version, not because we think it is the better buy.
Installation
- Uninstall any earlier Office version.
- Download the suite from the link that comes with your key.
- Open Word, go to Account, enter the product key.
Runs on Windows 10 and Windows 11. There is no Mac edition of Professional Plus, because Access and Publisher are Windows only. WhatsApp us if the installer refuses to cooperate.

Will Office 2019 stop working now that support has ended?
No. It keeps running and your files stay yours. What stopped is the flow of security patches from Microsoft, on 14 October 2025.
What is the actual risk of using an unpatched Office?
Word and Excel files are a standard way of delivering malware. A flaw found after October 2025 will not be fixed, so a document from someone you do not know is more dangerous to open than it was before. Keeping Windows and your antivirus up to date reduces the exposure without removing it.
Should I buy 2019, 2021 or LTSC 2024?
LTSC 2024, unless you need Publisher, in which case 2021. Office 2019 makes sense only if you specifically need this version to match machines you already run.
Is Access included?
Yes. Professional Plus includes both Access and Publisher.
Does it work on a Mac?
No. Access and Publisher are Windows only, so Professional Plus has no Mac edition. For a Mac, take Office 2021 Home & Business for Mac, which carries Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.
Can I move the licence to another PC later?
No. The key binds to your machine’s motherboard. Reinstalling Windows on the same PC is fine and the key reactivates, but a different computer needs a different licence, and replacing the motherboard counts as a different computer. Our Mac licences are the exception and can be moved.
Is it a subscription?
No. One payment, one PC, and the licence does not expire. Only the security updates have stopped.
